Action in rural Sussex 

Action in rural Sussex (AirS) provides a subscription based Village and Community Halls Advisory Service in East and West Sussex, for which CHA provides technical and consultancy support.  Subscribers receive a regular newsletter, access to a range of valuable information sheets and publications, invitations to workshops and training events, eligibility for the Hallmark quality assurance scheme and access to peer support through the “Buddy Hall” scheme and volunteer members of the Sussex Community Buildings Advisory Group.   AirS also provides support for parish councils and community groups considering the provision of affordable housing, eg via Community Land Trusts, and Neighbourhood Plans.       http://www.ruralsussex.org.uk/

 

The ACRE Network 

The ACRE Network (Action with Communities in rural England) provides the support service for the county based advisory services provided by Rural Community Councils such as AirS, including up to date publications, a legal support service and interface with Government and other agencies in relation to issues facing village and community halls.   http://www.acre.org.uk/our-work/village-halls
